Job Summary
Develop and execute interior environments for commercial photography and video productions by selecting furniture, textiles, and architectural elements to create cohesive, camera-ready spaces. Apply design principles of scale, proportion, and composition to style rooms, while sourcing props from vendors, retail, and in-house collections. Interpret client brand briefs and collaborate with Art Directors and production teams to assemble, adjust, and maintain sets during active shoots. Manage multiple projects, track expenses within budgets, and participate in real-time creative problem-solving and continuity management.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to lift and move items up to 40 lbs independently or with assistance
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and climb ladders as needed
- Ability to work in studio environments and on active productions
- Ability to differentiate between colors and materials
- Ability to work under deadlines and occasionally adjust schedules to support production needs
Desired Qualifications
- Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Fine Arts, Visual Merchandising, or a related creative field
- Professional experience in interior design, decorating, styling, visual merchandising, or another related creative environment
- Strong understanding of interior design principles and visual composition
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and changing priorities
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and presentation software
- Familiarity with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, or related design and presentation software
- Interest in learning the unique requirements of designing and styling environments for photography and video
