Job Summary
Create accurate 2D floor plans and room layouts, develop high-quality 3D interior renders, and produce walkthroughs or interactive models for residential projects. Select furniture, décor, finishes, and lighting while preparing detailed material lists with specifications and pricing. Design within agreed budgets and client requirements, working remotely to respond to feedback efficiently and manage your own workload. Deliver complete design packs including photo-realistic renders, 3D walkthrough videos, and revised designs based on stakeholder input. This full-time remote role supports a UK-based client, offering an opportunity to build an international portfolio with structured support and creative ownership.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years' experience in residential interior design
- A strong portfolio showing 2D layouts, 3D renders, and walkthrough or visualisation work
- Proficiency in tools such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 3ds Max, Blender, Lumion, Enscape, or similar
- Good understanding of space planning, lighting, materials, finishes, and practical home design
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Good written and spoken English
- Ability to collaborate with an international client and apply feedback professionally
- Must be able to work remotely
- Must be based in Kenya
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field
- Experience sourcing furniture from UK-based or international suppliers
- Experience designing to specific budgets
- Experience with small homes, garages, playrooms, multi-functional rooms, or family spaces
- Experience preparing client-ready design packs
