Job Summary
Oversee interior design projects from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to 2025 UAE regulatory requirements and BIM mandates for high-rise developments. Create refined design concepts, mood boards, and space plans that align with client objectives and Al Sa'fat Green Building System standards. Utilize Autodesk Revit and other BIM tools to develop detailed 3D models, construction drawings, and documentation compliant with ISO 19650 standards. Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors using Common Data Environments to resolve design issues and ensure seamless integration. Engage with clients to understand needs, present proposals using VR/AR visualizations, and deliver exceptional service throughout the project lifecycle. Research and specify sustainable materials and finishes that meet aesthetic goals, budget constraints, and UAE sustainability standards. Guide and mentor junior designers on BIM workflows, AI-driven design tools, and sustainable practices. Liaise with local authorities, attend technical meetings, and secure approvals through digital portals. Conduct site inspections across UAE emirates, utilizing drone-assisted tools or AR platforms for precision. Contribute to BIM activities by developing digital workflows and automating routines to enhance productivity.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field
- Minimum 10 years of professional interior design experience
- At least 5 years on UAE-based projects
- Experience on projects post-2024 BIM Mandate rollout
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Experience using project management tools (e.g., Celoxis, Procore)
- Proficiency in BIM software (Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud)
- Adherence to ISO 19650 standards
- Expertise in 3D modeling and rendering engines (e.g., 3DS Max, V-Ray, D5, Corona, Lumion)
- Strong portfolio showcasing diverse, completed interior design projects in the UAE
- Emphasis on sustainable design in portfolio
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Fluency in English
- Valid UAE driving license
