Job Summary
Create individualized design solutions by space planning, coordinating fabrics, and selecting products to meet customer preferences and budgets. Represent the Ethan Allen brand by greeting clients in the design center, conducting home calls to evaluate needs, and closing sales through personalized presentations. Utilize social media platforms, blogs, and digital tools like the 3-D Room Planner and CRM to promote the brand, build a network of outside talent, and develop grassroots marketing plans. Coordinate with the team to manage order status updates, participate in corporate training, and educate clients on finance options. Maintain a neat design center projection and stay current on design trends to deliver fashionable solutions. This full-time role requires a valid driver's license and involves 25% travel.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent with relevant work experience
- Minimum of one (1) year of practical interior design experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a design-related field from an accredited institution, desirable
- Broad knowledge of interior design and effective sales techniques
- Working knowledge of online sales and design tools
- Good listening skills with excellent oral and written communication skills
- Valid driver's license, except in limited circumstances in which the associate can establish to the Company's satisfaction that they have available, for use during all business hours, an alternate means of transportation not requiring the operation of a motor vehicle which will enable them to perform the duties of their position
- Intermediate skill competency using digital floor planning technology
- Willing and capable of learning new technologies
Desired Qualifications
- 3D applications a plus
- Experience using interactive technology to view design concepts such as augmented reality, virtual reality and other visualization tools
- General understanding of how to utilize social media and grass-roots marketing to develop a book of business
- Proven experience preferred
