Job Summary
Interior Design Retail Sales Leader responsible for managing and developing the design center and design teams, coaching associates to raise professionalism, driving sales growth through grassroots and digital outreach, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Key duties include overseeing design center operations, leading performance and business planning with designers, reviewing P&L with leadership, implementing policy and compliance, conducting trainings and corporately sponsored sessions, setting monthly/quarterly goals, developing community programs, reconciling inventories, proposing growth strategies, and performing other duties as required. Requires a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with 5+ years (or High School diploma with 10+ years) of progressive relevant interior design and sales experience, supervisory experience, strong communication/organizational skills, ability to train/coach on design and sales, and availability to work holidays, evenings, and weekends; valid driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with a minimum of five (5) years of experience or High School diploma or equivalent with a minimum of ten (10) years of progressive relevant work experience and practical interior design experience
- Proven sales background in residential interior design
- Broad knowledge of interior design and effective sales techniques
- Supervisory experience required
- An entrepreneurial attitude and approach with strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to train and coach for design, product knowledge, sales performance and customer service
- Must be able to work holidays, evenings and weekends
- Position requires a valid driver’s license
