Interior Design Intern

Job Summary
Support the design team across multiple phases of new construction and renovation projects for senior living facilities. Research life safety, building codes, and regulatory requirements based on existing documentation and site conditions. Assist with space planning, concept development, and design intent articulation while helping develop preliminary drawings and client-facing materials including renderings, boards, and presentations. Prepare project documentation such as binders, registrations, and support materials, and coordinate reselections to contribute to construction document legends. Requires current enrollment in an Interior Design program, AutoCAD proficiency, and availability for 15–20 hours weekly during the academic year.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an Interior Design program (Associate's or Bachelor's degree)
- Solid working knowledge of AutoCAD
- Demonstrates initiative in learning building codes and technical regulations
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Availability to work 15–20 hours/week during the academic year
- Ability to work full-time during summer and academic breaks
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in design studios, customer service, or a related internship
- Familiarity with senior living environments
