Job Summary
The Interior Design Director is responsible for championing design excellence across all projects in the interiors discipline, collaborating with the studio Design Director, and ensuring adherence to the firm’s commitment through Living Design. This role involves leading design teams through all stages of the design process, overseeing project quality, mentoring staff, and cultivating relationships with clients and stakeholders. The position also requires familiarity with the design phases of commercial-scale projects and proficiency in leading collaborative teams across various disciplines. Strong software skills, particularly in Revit and visualization tools, alongside the necessity of holding a relevant architectural license and a bachelor’s degree in a related field, are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in architecture, interior design, landscape architecture, urban design or related discipline required.
- LEED GA within 6 months of hire
- Demonstrable track record of peer recognized, award winning built/unbuilt designs that have been published nationally and potentially internationally.
Desired Qualifications
- Architectural license, NCIDQ, or LARE as appropriate
- Professional accreditation in one area of Living Design (e.g. LEED AP with Specialty, BREEAM AP, WELL AP, etc.)
