Job Summary
Interior Coordinator role (mid-level) supports oil spill response activities across the assigned area of operations, coordinating all aspects of spill response including equipment operation and maintenance, contractor support and training, and customer interactions. The position requires travel, operates within regulatory health, safety, and environmental requirements, and may support other areas as needed; the incumbent develops contractor resources, promotes MSRC capabilities at customer events, and provides administrative support for invoicing and reporting.
Required Qualifications
- Three years of progressive business experience
- Exposure to oil spill removal techniques, emergency response, logistics management, or incident command a plus
- Ability to operate industrial equipment and their systems safely
- Professional demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to form effective relationships across stakeholders, including customers, regulators, and front-line workers
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple concurrent activities and meet deadlines
- Competent oral and written communicator with the ability to provide accurate and timely status updates
- Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Teams, Sharepoint) and company equipment, maintenance and other systems
- Ability to travel as required by business need, and the ability to be readily available for emergency response activities, which may include extended travel
- Working knowledge of oil industry regulations, such as the Oil Pollution Act of 1990 (OPA 90), or Area Contingency Plans (ACPs) a plus
