Job Summary
Lead interior architecture projects from concept to occupancy by integrating structural requirements with high-end interior aesthetics; produce and oversee high-fidelity construction documents including floor plans, elevations, and sections; master space planning to optimize user flow and psychological experience; curate premium materials and finishes; coordinate multidisciplinary interfaces between architectural elements and interior systems; advocate for sustainable, green-building practices across all project phases; mentor and guide emerging talent; manage client presentations and design advocacy; requires 5+ years of experience and proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and SketchUp; NCIDQ Certification or RA status and LEED AP/WELL AP credentials are preferred; hybrid work schedule in Chesapeake, VA.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Architecture, Interior Design, or Architecture
- 5+ years of progressive experience in a design or architectural firm
- Expert command of Revit, AutoCAD, and SketchUp; familiarity with rendering software and Adobe Creative Suite
- Deep understanding of IBC, ADA/accessibility standards, and the technicalities of interior construction and detailing
