Job Summary
Interim Stormwater Lead (12-month fixed term) leads end-to-end development of the Stormwater Water Services Strategy, ensuring it is high quality, defensible, and adopted by Council by 30 June 2027. Coordinates cross-organisational inputs into a coherent strategy, identifies implications for statutory/planning documents, provides assurance to senior leadership, and manages risks related to stormwater planning. Supports reporting and engagement with regulators, leads stakeholder engagement activities, and collaborates with mana whenua, agencies, and elected members to prepare high-quality governance materials and recommendations. Requires significant strategy/infrastructure planning experience, strong understanding of local government statutory planning/governance, ability to lead complex programmes without direct line management, and a tertiary qualification (desirable).
