Job Summary
Teach content and learning activities to students in classrooms, implementing effective instructional strategies and adapting curriculum to individual needs. Assess student performance, develop lesson plans, and monitor progress to adjust instruction accordingly. Evaluate academic and social growth, communicate with parents, and provide constructive feedback while maintaining a respectful, safe learning environment. Supervise students during recess, bus rides, field trips, and out-of-class activities. Collaborate with professional staff, participate in grade-level planning, and attend administrative meetings. Administer standardized assessments and maintain accurate records as required by law and district policy.
Required Qualifications
- Must meet AR licensure requirements
- Has the ability to lift at least 40 pounds occasionally
- Ability to endure prolonged standing, walking, sitting, occasional reaching above the head or the shoulders, bending, squatting, and kneeling
- Teachers could be asked to teach at various locations to serve the needs of students
