Job Summary
Interim Sous Chef at Marketplace Café (Broadway Plaza) leads kitchen operations as both kitchen expert and artist. Drives scratch-cooking with the kitchen crew, trains and develops staff, and supports business goals including process improvements, growth, efficiency, profitability and compliance with company procedures. Participates in a Manager in Training program and ensures the kitchen passes the white glove standard. Requires 2+ years of experience in full-service, upscale restaurant management; passion for quality food and exceptional customer service; strong written and verbal communication; and basic accounting skills. Flexible schedule a must. Pay range California: 51,500.00 - 84,000.00 USD annually; benefits include medical/vision/dental, 401k, PTO, life/disability insurance, merchandise discounts, and more.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years in full service upscale restaurant management
- Food handler’s card where required by local and state regulations
- Solid written and verbal communications skills
- Basic accounting skills
