Job Summary
Interim Nursing Team Lead is sought to lead the surgical nursing team at Spire Hartswood Hospital on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role involves deputising and leading both clinical and non-clinical staff to deliver high-quality patient care, maintaining safety and infection-control standards, and providing clinical leadership to ensure consistently excellent nursing care. Responsibilities include planning, allocating, and assessing team performance, developing safe work practices, and driving continuous improvement in knowledge and practice within the ward setting. Candidates should hold current NMC registration, have surgical-ward experience, demonstrate strong leadership and organisational abilities, and possess excellent communication skills. Location: Brentwood, Essex, United Kingdom. This is a full-time position supporting maternity cover with a 37.5-hour workweek.
Required Qualifications
- Current NMC registration with no restriction on practise
- Experience of working within Surgical settings
- Good management experience in a similar role, with proven ability to lead a team and develop nursing services
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
