Job Summary
Provide effective, efficient, and safe patient services through human, financial, and environmental resource management. Support a patient-centered care model based on best practices, program standards, and continuous quality improvement. Build a professional practice climate and facilitate an interdisciplinary approach to patient care. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to plan, implement, and monitor delivery of patient and family-centered programs. Provide leadership in advancing Emergency Services goals and organizational strategic priorities. Coach and mentor staff to navigate change. Manage all aspects of employee relations, including recruitment, retention, attendance, and performance management in collaboration with Human Resources and Labour Relations. This interim role reports to the Program Director, Emergency Services, with a contract duration until February 28, 2027.
Required Qualifications
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing
- Master's in Nursing, Health Science or related field
- Candidates who are actively pursuing their Masters will be considered
- Minimum of five years relevant clinical experience
- Minimum of three years leadership experience in an acute care setting
- Experience with quality of improvement
- Experience in effective critical thinking, decision making and problem solving skills within a fast paced, complex and continually changing environment
- Experience in leading change, building high functioning teams and effective working relationships
- Skills in strategic planning, project management, and effective resource management and utilization
- Excellent attendance and discipline free record
