Job Summary
Interim Lower School Innovation and Design Teacher works with a co-teacher to guide pre-K–5 students through the innovation design process, including digital citizenship, coding, AI, robotics, and using technology to express themselves creatively. Partners with Lower School faculty to integrate technology into a culture of innovative teaching and learning; leads design-thinking instruction aligned to ISTE standards; supports colleagues with design thinking and technology integration, and mentors teachers in using technology to enhance learning and meet diverse student needs. Requires collaborative leadership, strong interpersonal skills, and a commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. Preference for a Master’s degree in Instructional Technology or related field and 3+ years of elementary school experience.
Required Qualifications
- A Master’s degree in Instructional Technology or related field is preferred
- 3+ years of experience in elementary school education
- Knowledge of pertinent technology integration models and pedagogical practices
- Knowledge of educational platforms and software including but not limited to Google Workspace, macOS, and SMARTboard
