Job Summary
Monitor restock volumes and order counts to assign tasks to warehouse staff, while estimating completion times based on internal schedules. Coordinate daily workflows by communicating with leadership and coworkers, and train employees on production guidelines, techniques, and safety. Operate powered lift equipment and inspect assigned gear daily, ensuring it is returned in the same condition. Adapt priorities easily to manage multiple projects independently with minimal supervision, rotating to other production functions as business needs require. Complete assigned duties efficiently while complying with all policies and standards in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 4-6 years Prior warehouse/distribution experience
- Ability to read, write and have sufficient ability to identify colors, sizes, quantity, label and SKU information
- Basic math skills in counting and quantity
- Ability to work with and keep a positive, supportive attitude towards the Company, job, customers and co-workers
- Able to maintain confidentiality and discretion
- Excellent organization skills; demonstrating the ability to multi-task and prioritize daily responsibilities
- Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision
- May be required to complete and maintain SanMar's Lift Operator Certification in compliance with OSHA guidelines
- Demonstrates ability to follow directions and change priorities or job duties as business needs require; rotate to other production functions as needed
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to learn Internal Operating System and operate Radio Frequency (RF) unit
- Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume environment while meeting deadlines
- Able to work both independently and within a team
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
- Comprehend verbal and written instructions
- Essential days or overtime may be required
- Must be able to stand, walk, talk and hear
- Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 60 pounds
- Must have full range of motion of the neck, head and back
- Must be able to reach with hands and arms, grasp and perform repetitive hand, wrist and arm motions
- Must be able to climb stairs, kneel/squat, bend and carry
- Must have close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Must be able to wear a headset covering one or both ears
- Must be able to wear Personal protective equipment such as a Protective harness while operating equipment
- Basic English literacy is required for operation of machines and necessary daily paperwork
- Must be able to work under typical warehouse conditions
- Must be able to work near conveyor systems
- Must be able to work in a moderately noisy environment
- Must be able to be exposed to dust and changes in weather conditions
- Must be able to work in extreme heat and extreme cold including climates consistent with outside weather conditions
