Job Summary
Interim Intake Mental Health Counselor responsible for maintaining a safe therapeutic milieu in the intake waiting area, conducting safety checks, patient monitoring, de-escalation of acute situations, and providing supportive interactions. Requires high school diploma, proficient typing and computer skills for Electronic Health Record (EHR) use, and effective oral and written communication to develop professional therapeutic relationships while maintaining boundaries. Experience with psychiatric or substance inpatient settings, restraint reduction de-escalation, and crisis intervention is preferred. Work schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM with no weekends; compensation $20.11–$24.00 hourly, with benefits including medical/dental/vision, 401(k) match, STD, life/AD&D insurance, PTO, FSA, and tuition reimbursement.
