Job Summary
Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of a Finance Transformation roadmap across seven African markets within an aggressive four-month timeline. Define project scope, milestones, and success criteria while driving accountability among stakeholders and external vendors. Collaborate with finance leaders to map current activities, determine centralization versus decentralization options, and develop transition plans ensuring full regulatory compliance in Kenya and across all jurisdictions. Maintain rigorous oversight of risks, budgets, and resource allocation, providing regular updates and detailed documentation to Finance leadership. Support the operationalization of the centralized Controllership hub in Kenya by overseeing tool selection and embedding sustainable compliance processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
- Professional accounting qualification: ACCA, CPA, CA, CIMA
- Project management certification: PMP, PRINCE2, PMBOK, or Agile/Scrum certifications
- Minimum experience 10 years: 5+ years in finance transformation or large-scale financial system implementations
- 3+ years in project management roles with P&L accountability
- Proven track record in leading finance transformation and integration projects, preferably in African markets
- Deep understanding of accounting processes, financial controls, and regulatory compliance requirements
- Demonstrated success managing complex, cross-border programs across multiple African jurisdictions
- Hands-on experience in financial services or high-growth, complex organizational environments
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present to and influence senior leadership
- Experience managing remote teams and coordinating across different time zones and cultures
- Results-driven mindset with the ability to maintain accountability and drive performance
- Aggressive approach to problem-solving and stakeholder management when required
