INTERIM ELEMENTARY TEACHER (Grades K-8)

Job Summary
Interim full-time elementary teacher responsible for planning instruction based on student data, meeting accommodations for IEP/504 as appropriate, and delivering instruction aligned with Tennessee Curriculum Standards. The role requires employing a variety of instructional techniques for brick-and-mortar students as well as those in remote learning, alternative placements, or homebound status. Responsibilities include collaborating with colleagues to plan, deliver, and reflect on instruction and student data; establishing a positive classroom culture; developing lesson plans; maintaining accurate records; enforcing school policies; and being available to students and parents outside instructional hours as required. Evaluation follows Tennessee Department of Education procedures. Mentors will support teachers new to the role. This position is described as a full-time interim teaching assignment for 8/3-10/2/2026 at Englewood Elementary School, with remote learning options available for the role.
Required Qualifications
- Tennessee Teaching License
- Endorsement for area of primary teaching assignment
- Meet requirements of state instructional standards
- No prior experience required but teachers without experience will be assigned a veteran mentor
