Job Summary
Manage and organize facility operations including housekeeping, maintenance, and grounds keeping while ensuring compliance with JCAHO, federal, state, and local laws. Serve as the Safety/Security Officer and Safety Committee Chairman, developing and directing safety management programs to maintain a hazard-free environment. Oversee daily activities of all Plant Operations personnel, review department policies, and coordinate repairs with outside contractors. Maintain awareness of new products and techniques while supporting the Risk Manager in evaluating impacts on patient and public safety. Requires six years of related experience with one year of management, knowledge of Life Safety Code and OSHA regulations, and a valid driver's license. Compensation ranges from $90,000 to $125,000 annually.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of six (6) years related experience
- At least one year of management experience
- Experience with reading blueprints
- Understanding of Life Safety Code
- Understanding of Joint Commission standards
- Understanding of OSHA Regulations
- Valid driver's license
- Complete knowledge of the physical plant within two weeks of hire
- Ability to speak in front of audiences
- Ability to communicate in a clear, concise manner
Desired Qualifications
- Degree in facility management or related field
- Equivalent in trade school degree and related experience
