Interim Controller – Sage Intacct

Job Summary
Evaluate current Sage Intacct usage and identify opportunities to improve system functionality and reporting. Create and enhance financial and operational reports while developing and implementing inventory management processes. Review and clean existing inventory records, enter new inventory data, and establish consistent procedures for tracking and reconciliation. Analyze accounting data to identify discrepancies, work with stakeholders to resolve inventory issues, and document improved workflows. Provide guidance on best practices and support general accounting activities as needed during this three-month hybrid contract.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in a Controller, Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager, or similar accounting leadership role.
- Strong hands-on experience with Sage Intacct.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and improve financial reporting within an ERP system.
- Experience with inventory accounting, inventory reconciliation, or inventory management processes.
- Experience cleaning up and maintaining accounting or inventory data.
- Strong understanding of general accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to identify process gaps and implement practical improvements.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
- Comfortable working in a hybrid environment and managing a short-term project with defined priorities.
