Job Summary
Interim Controller responsible for leading monthly close and financial reporting across multiple entities, ensuring ASC 606 compliance, overseeing general ledger activities, reconciliations, and journal entries, managing cash operations and banking relationships, coordinating annual audits, investor reporting, and partnering with FP&A on budgeting and forecasting. Drives automation and process improvements to support scalability, ensures regulatory compliance (including sales tax), and leverages ERP systems (e.g., Sage Intacct, NetSuite) to optimize finance technology in a SaaS/technology environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Experience in a Controller or Assistant Controller leadership role
- Strong understanding of ASC 606, deferred revenue, and US GAAP
- Experience in private equity-backed environments and lender covenant reporting
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems such as Sage Intacct, NetSuite, or similar
- Hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves approach with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Desired Qualifications
- MBA or advanced degree preferred
- SaaS or technology industry experience strongly preferred
- Experience with financial systems and accounting technology platforms
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience with ERP systems such as Sage Intacct, NetSuite, or similar
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves approach
- Experience in private equity-backed environments and lender covenant reporting
- ASC 606 expertise and deferred revenue understanding
- US GAAP knowledge
