Job Summary
Interim Assistant Principal, K-5 at Cambridgeport School—lead the school alongside the Principal to advance instructional leadership, equity and belonging, and a safe, inclusive school culture. Responsibilities include coordinating and supervising programs and operations; analyzing student and school data to guide curriculum goals and SIP action steps; developing schedules; supervising and evaluating teachers; supporting high-yield instructional and SEL strategies; facilitating two-way communication with families; onboarding staff and volunteers; shaping professional development aligned to district vision; fostering a love of learning, student agency, and an inclusive community; and assisting with school safety, emergency planning, and budget oversight. Qualifications emphasize a Master’s degree in education leadership, Massachusetts DESE licensure or eligibility, urban school experience, and a minimum of five years’ teaching experience. Salary range $135,144–$162,693; 11-month work year; interim appointment.
