Job Summary
Design, develop, and maintain healthcare data integrations using HL7 v2.x, FHIR, and API-based standards across EHR/EMR, laboratories and radiology platforms; build and manage interface channels using engines such as Mirth Connect, CorePoint, Cloverleaf, including message routing, data transformation, error handling, and monitoring; write SQL scripts for interface mapping and crosswalks, and document database structures; develop technical specifications and interface documentation; troubleshoot production interface errors, participate in change control and go-live activities, support production monitoring and SLA adherence; handle variability across upstream EHR/vendor systems with non-standard HL7 implementations; collaborate with clinical, IT, and business stakeholders; develop knowledge of RCM configurations to support interface design; ensure HIPAA/PHI handling and secure data transmission; mentor junior team members and contribute to standardized processes.
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with healthcare integration engines (Mirth Connect, CorePoint, Cloverleaf, or similar)
- Proficiency with HL7 v2.x messaging standards and FHIR
- Strong SQL skills for interface mapping, crosswalk tables, and data transformation
- Experience with RESTful APIs and SOAP web services in a healthcare context
- Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems, lab information systems, and radiology platforms
- Solid troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills in production environments
- Understanding of HIPAA requirements and PHI handling standards
- Ability to work effectively with both technical and clinical stakeholders
