Job Summary
Full-time Nocturnist Intensivist sought to join hospital-based adult critical care at UPMC Hamot in Erie, PA. Night shifts are 12-14 hours with a 6 on 8 off schedule, covering Medical, Cardiovascular, Trauma, Surgical, and Neuro ICUs. The role supports point of care ultrasound, videolaryngoscopy, bedside bronchoscopy, prone positioning, and ECMO transfer capability. Teaching opportunity for emergency medicine and neurology residents. Beacon Units (Silver and Gold) and a comprehensive Cardiac Center/Stroke Center are in place. Qualifications include MD/DO, completion of Internal Medicine or Emergency Medicine residency, Critical Care fellowship, board eligibility/certification in Critical Care Medicine, PA license readiness, and DEA. J-1 waiver and H-1B sponsorship are considered for 2027 and beyond. Relocation assistance, PSLF eligibility, and comprehensive benefits are provided.
Required Qualifications
- MD/DO from an accredited medical school
- Accredited Internal Medicine or Emergency Medicine Residency Program completion
- Accredited Critical Care Fellowship Program completion
- Open to recent fellowship-trained physicians
- American Board Eligible or American Board Certified in Critical Care Medicine
- Ability to obtain an unrestricted Pennsylvania Medical License and ability to obtain necessary credentials
- DEA certification
