Job Summary
UPMC Hamot in Erie, PA is seeking a full-time Nocturnist Intensivist to join its hospital-based adult critical care practice. The role covers a 64-bed ICU tower with night shifts staffed by one physician and two APs, and includes opportunities to teach residents and participate in advanced ICU capabilities (point-of-care ultrasound, videolaryngoscopy, bronchoscopy, prone positioning, ECMO transfers). The unit emphasizes teamwork in a high-acuity environment across medical, cardiovascular, trauma, surgical, and neuro ICU beds. The candidate will practice in a Beacon Unit system with a comprehensive Cardiac Center and Stroke Center, and will have access to CME stipends, sign-on, productivity and quality incentives, PSLF eligibility, and relocation assistance. Required Qualifications
- MD/DO from an accredited medical school
- Accredited Internal Medicine or Emergency Medicine Residency Program completion
- Accredited Critical Care Fellowship Program completion
- Open to fellowship-trained physicians
- American Board Eligible or American Board Certified in Critical Care Medicine
- Ability to obtain an unrestricted Pennsylvania Medical License
- DEA certification
- Relocation assistance available for customary and reasonable moving expenses
