Job Summary
UPMC Hamot in Erie, PA seeks a full-time Nocturnist Intensivist to join its hospital-based adult critical care program. The role supports a 64-bed ICU tower with care across Medical, Cardiovascular, Trauma, Surgical, and Neuro ICU beds. Night shifts are staffed by one physician and two Advanced Practice Providers, with some shifts supported by a swing physician. The team uses advanced tech (point-of-care ultrasound, videolaryngoscopy, bedside bronchoscopy, prone positioning, ECMO transfer) and offers opportunities to teach emergency medicine and neurology residents. The package includes productivity and quality incentives, sign-on, CME stipend, relocation assistance, PSLF eligibility, comprehensive benefits, and a path to PA licensing and credentialing in Pennsylvania. Relocation assistance is available for reasonable moving expenses. Required Qualifications
- MD/DO from an accredited medical school
- Accredited Internal Medicine or Emergency Medicine Residency Program completion
- Accredited Critical Care Fellowship Program completion
- Open to recent fellowship-trained physicians
- American Board Eligible or American Board Certified in Critical Care Medicine
- Ability to obtain an unrestricted Pennsylvania Medical License and ability to obtain necessary credentials
- DEA certification
