Job Summary
UPMC Hamot in Erie, PA is seeking a full-time Nocturnist Intensivist to join its hospital-based adult critical care practice. The role involves leading夜班 ICU coverage in a 64-bed critical care tower with multidisciplinary teamwork, teaching of residents, and utilization of advanced tech (e.g., POCUS, videolaryngoscopy, bronchoscopy, prone positioning, ECMO transfer). The position provides a path for participation in a comprehensive critical care program within a high-acuity regional referral center, including opportunities for academic involvement, research, and a robust benefits package. Immigration status is considered (H-1B/J-1 waivers), with relocation benefits and a PSLF-eligible employment arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- MD/DO from an accredited medical school
- A completed Internal Medicine or Emergency Medicine Residency
- Critical Care Fellowship training
- American Board Eligible or American Board Certified in Critical Care Medicine
- Ability to obtain PA medical license in Pennsylvania and credentialing
- DEA certification
