Job Summary
UPMC Hamot in Erie, PA is seeking a full-time Nocturnist Intensivist to join its hospital-based adult critical care practice. The role involves caring for patients in a 64-bed ICU tower with night shifts (12-14 hours) scheduled as 2,016 hours annually, on a 6 on/8 off rhythm. Coverage includes medical, cardiovascular, trauma, surgical, and neuro ICU beds. The position supports teaching residents and fellows, uses advanced technology for patient monitoring, and provides opportunities to initiate ECMO with transfer to a quaternary center. Qualifications include an MD/DO, board-eligible or board-certified in Critical Care, and PA/DEA credentials with PA license and ability to obtain Pennsylvania credentials. Required Qualifications
- MD/DO from an accredited medical school
- Accredited Internal Medicine or Emergency Medicine Residency Program completion
- Accredited Critical Care Fellowship Program completion
- American Board Eligible or American Board Certified in Critical Care Medicine
- Ability to obtain an unrestricted Pennsylvania Medical License
- DEA certification
