Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (Fulltime/Nights)

Provide bedside nursing on Neuro and Cardiac ICU units, including supervision of non‐RN staff, functioning as Charge Nurse, and ensuring delivery of individualized plans of care. Responsibilities include assessing patients physically and psychosocially, developing and documenting plans of care with involvement of patient and family, coordinating plan with the healthcare team, evaluating care effectiveness and readiness for discharge, and identifying educational opportunities. Demonstrates competency in neuro patient care (neuro assessment, airway management, and care during neuro procedures) and in caring for patients on ventilators. Performs other duties as assigned to ensure smooth operation of the department/unit; supports performance expectations for customer service, teamwork, and resource utilization. Requires graduation from an accredited nursing program and current CT RN licensure; roles within the Heart and Vascular/Cardiac ICU units with exposure to advanced cardiac care, ECMO considerations, and CTICU/postoperative care.
