Job Summary
Intellectual Property Specialist II at Brewer Science will identify, analyze, protect, and manage Brewer Science intellectual property. Responsibilities include conducting literature and patent searches, assisting with patent planning and drafting, supporting office action research and strategy, and maintaining records; reviewing and revising external communications to convey IP clearly and professionally; assisting with legal issues and communications related to IP and relationship management; educating internal clients on IP goals; collaborating with business and technical teams to determine best IP protection paths under supervision; and providing basic IP training to employees and updating existing trainings.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or biology preferred, with 8 semester hours of chemistry of physics, or 32 semester hours of chemistry, physics, biology, or engineering required
- 0-2 years of experience required
- Juris Doctorate Degree preferred
- USPTO Patent Registration preferred
- An equivalent combination of education and related experience
