Job Summary
Intellectual Property Paralegal role in Irvine, CA reporting to the VP, Associate General Counsel - Corporate Services. Manage and maintain patent and trademark docketing domestically and internationally, docket new filings, office actions, and deadlines (USPTO, WIPO/Madrid and foreign offices), conduct trademark clearance searches, prepare docket reports for clients and attorneys, oversee patent and trademark portfolios, assist with file transfers, and support anti-counterfeiting and brand protection efforts. Requires extensive trademark docketing experience, familiarity with USPTO/WIPO/foreign offices, and proficiency with docketing software (e.g., CPI, Anaqua).
Required Qualifications
- At least 10 years of trademark docketing experience
- Working knowledge of US and foreign patent and trademark laws and prosecution procedures
- Experience with USPTO, WIPO, and foreign trademark offices websites
- Familiarity with docketing software and web-based products (e.g., CPI, Anaqua)
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Based in Irvine, CA or willing to relocate to Irvine, CA
