Job Summary
Lead program goal-setting and conduct effective team meetings to drive development and problem-solving for individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, and mental health needs. Supervise, coach, train, and evaluate staff while managing schedules to ensure adequate coverage within budget. Directly oversee medical services including psychiatric care, medication management, assessments, diagnoses, counseling, and treatment using the full nursing process. Prepare treatment plans, collaborate on interdisciplinary diagnoses, and review health records while maintaining communication with families and community agencies. Provide backup coverage, after-hours support, and personal care assistance when needed. Serve as a medical resource for staff and individuals, coordinating medical appointments and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Valid state nursing license (LPN or RN)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of experience in intellectual disabilities (ID) or a related field
- Valid driver's license
- Access to a privately insured and maintained vehicle depending on work location
- Successful completion of all pre-employment requirements, including clearances and verification
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's or bachelor's degree with experience in ID or a related field
- One year of supervisory or management experience
