Job Summary
Outpatient-integrative medicine physician role at Sutter Health's Institute for Health & Healing in San Francisco, collaborating within a diverse team to provide mind–body–spirit care. Responsibilities include delivering integrative consults, coordinating care with NPs, acupuncturists, nutritionists, and behavioral health specialists; documenting thoroughly in the EHR; participating in community education and philanthropic initiatives; and supporting continuity and quality of care. Flexible full-time schedule (0.8–1.0 FTE) with relocation assistance and an emphasis on evidence-based integrative therapies alongside conventional medicine. Requires MD/DO, residency in family/internal medicine or specialty, and preferred fellowship or certification in Integrative/Functional Medicine; board certification in integrative medicine is highly preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Medical Degree: MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an accredited residency (family medicine, internal medicine, or specialty)
- Formal fellowship training (1–2 years) or certification in Integrative Medicine, Functional Medicine (IFM), or a similar program (preferred)
- Board Certification in Integrative Medicine through ABOIM or completion of an approved fellowship in Integrative Medicine (highly preferred)
- Philosophical alignment with whole-person care
- Comfort working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team
