Integrations Engineer

Job Summary
Design, build, and maintain GrowthZone’s integration layer to connect with third-party applications, association management tools, payment processors, and customer data systems. Design RESTful APIs, webhook frameworks, and data pipelines enabling reliable bidirectional data flow. Build and maintain a library of reusable connectors and evaluate iPaaS tools to streamline delivery. Collaborate with Customer Success and Implementation teams to translate integration requirements into technical specs; provide pre-sales and onboarding support; educate stakeholders on capabilities and limitations. Enforce security best practices (OAuth 2.0, API keys, encrypted data transfer) and ensure compliance with data privacy standards. Create comprehensive technical documentation (architecture diagrams, API references, runbooks) and end-user integration guides; provide Tier 2/3 support; monitor health via logging and alerts. Contribute to API strategy, versioning, and developer docs; evaluate new integration technologies and influence the integration roadmap based on customer demand and market trends.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years in software integration, API engineering, or platform engineering
- RESTful API design proficiency
- JSON/XML data formats
- webhook patterns
- Hands-on experience with integration platforms or iPaaS tools (e.g., MuleSoft, Boomi, Zapier, Workato)
- OAuth 2.0, SAML, API key management familiarity
- Experience with at least one server-side language (Python, Node.js, Java)
- Cloud infrastructure experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerized deployment
- Ability to write clear technical documentation for engineering and non-technical audiences
- Strong problem-solving skills with complex integration failures
