Job Summary
Internship in Space Systems Integration & Test at Rocket Lab (Long Beach, CA). Support the Integration and Test Team’s equipment, contribute to the Assembly Integration & Test phase, and collaborate with mentors to apply engineering concepts to real challenges. Role involves working with a fast-paced team, attending regular mentor 1:1s, and participating in tech talks and networking events. Ideal candidates will thrive in ambiguity, show the ability to lead development projects with supervision, and collaborate across teams. Required: enrolled in a bachelor’s, master’s or doctorate in engineering, physics, or math with at least one semester remaining; GPA 3.0+; 3+ months of applied engineering experience. Nice-to-haves: GPA 3.5+, 6+ months of experience, knowledge of RF/electronic components, hardware/test equipment experience, Python, Siemens NX, JavaScript, and spacecraft design. On-site, full-time for a minimum of 12 consecutive weeks beginning Aug/Sep 2026. Compensation: CA pay range $28/hour with relocation stipend potential; comprehensive benefits and total rewards. ITAR-related eligibility and US/New Zealand office considerations noted.
Required Qualifications
- Must be enrolled in a bachelor’s, master's or doctorate degree program in an engineering, physics or math discipline and have at least one semester of school remaining post internship
- GPA 3.0 or above
- 3+ months of applied engineering experience (internship, laboratory, and personal/team project experience)
