Job Summary

Integration Technician needed to serve as the operational backbone of Lux Aeterna's hardware team, owning shop operations, inventory, tools, and facility systems to enable high-cadence hardware development. The role includes tool control, 5S/lean process implementation, receiving inspection, kitting, parts staging with lot/serial traceability, collaboration with technicians and engineers on flight articles, and assisting with light fabrication and test support while ensuring an audit-ready, compliant production floor. Responsibilities span from managing shipping/receiving and inventory to establishing early operation processes, improving work instructions, and supporting first-of-kind refurbishment and reflight activities in a fast-paced aerospace startup. Key duties include lead in shop operations, material readiness, configuration control, NCR writing for process gaps, and coordinating with vendors and internal teams to ensure timely, quality builds in a highly controlled environment.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on operations, facilities, or manufacturing support experience in a hardware environment (aerospace, automotive, semiconductor, or similarly rigorous industry)
  • IPC certifications relevant to aerospace electronic assembly at the CIS level or higher (J-STD-001ES, J-STD-001 with Space Addendum, J-STD-001ES, IPC/WHMA-A-620 with Space Addendum, IPC-A-610 with Space Addendum)
  • NASA workmanship training accepted alongside IPC equivalents (NASA-STD-8739.3 and NASA-STD-8739.4)
  • Demonstrated ability to independently own shop organization, 5S, or workcell standardization
  • Proven experience placing POs, working with vendors (McMaster, Grainger, Uline) and closing the receiving loop
  • Strong organizational and documentation discipline
  • Experience with receiving operations: inspecting incoming goods, documenting nonconformances, routing parts to storage/use
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment with high ownership and attention to detail
  • Strong written communication and organizational habits
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-evolving hardware environment
