Integration and Test Software Lead

Job Summary
Integrated software leadership role focused on developing, maintaining, and validating complex space-system software for DoD assets. Lead design and integration activities across software components, evaluate hardware/software trade-offs, leverage COTS/GOTS, and perform requirements analysis from system-level down to individual software components. Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and integrating applications; applying standard software engineering processes; mitigating risks, managing costs and schedules; reviewing and testing software components for conformance; developing embedded GSE software and RTOS configurations; and creating automated procedures for integration and testing during launch and mission operations. Requires extensive spacecraft operations/testing experience, proven leadership of software engineers, and ability to commute to the NRL in Washington, DC.
Required Qualifications
- Active Top Secret/ SCI Eligible
- Minimum B.Sc., Aerospace, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or Mathematics
- Extensive experience with spacecraft operations and testing
- Extensive experience in directing teams of software engineers in the design and development of integration and test systems and procedures
- Ability to commute daily to the Naval Research Lab location in Washington, DC
