Job Summary
Develop and deliver technical documentation and training materials for the IPS and Training Team, collaborating closely with systems engineering, software engineering, and programme management. Prepare Technical Manuals in formats such as AESP and US Government Technical Manual, while actively collaborating with engineering and development areas. Assist in the preparation of IPS/Supportability documentation and carry out on-job training using media like MS PowerPoint. Maintain relevant UK security clearance (SC) and support complex, secure, multi-server systems throughout their lifecycle. Travel within the UK and overseas to customer sites as required.
Required Qualifications
- You will be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of the key areas relating to Technical Documentation and training material production
- You will be able to develop, implement and control Training Plans with conflicting requirements, as part of a busy training programme, to satisfy defined customer and business requirements, ensuring that activities are successfully progressed and delivered in line with established targets and constraints
- You will be expected to form part of the team that conducts Maintenance Task Analysis on ISR Exploitation Systems
- You must be able to obtain and maintain the relevant UK security clearance required for the role, SC at a minimum
- Requires theoretical to advanced knowledge of work area typically obtained through University Degree combined with experience
- Practical knowledge of RTX projects, programs or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics(STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations
- A full UK driving license
Desired Qualifications
- A background in ISR Exploitation Systems would be desirable
- Experience in the use of MS Office products for the production, control and amendment of supportability documentation and Technical Manuals, would be desirable
- Technical Author Formal training qualification
- Engineering experience
- Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux
- Experience working in defense, aerospace or another regulated, mission-critical environment
- Experience supporting customer-facing systems and providing remote technical support
