Job Summary
IPM Technician to support the cultivation team. Inspect and monitor pest activity, identify pests, and assess infestation levels; develop and implement IPM strategies using cultural, mechanical, biological, and chemical methods while minimizing risk to people and the environment. Maintain accurate records of inspections and treatments, calibrate and maintain monitoring equipment, and ensure compliance with PPE, GMP, and safety requirements. Qualifications include experience in horticulture/nursery, entomology, or plant pathology; Pesticide Applicator Certification within 90 days; proficiency in Excel/data collection; strong organizational skills; ability to work independently or in teams; and attention to detail. Must be 21+ and able to pass background checks; background in cannabis industry exposure noted but not required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED
- Pesticide Applicator Certification required within 90 days of employment
- Experience in horticulture/nursery, entomology, or plant pathology
- Proficient in Excel, data collection and entry
- Ability to read and correctly follow written instructions and product labels
- Must be able to work independently or among teams with keen judgement, resourcefulness
- Attention to detail and ability to concentrate on tasks
- Must pass any and all required background checks
- Must be 21 years of age
- Must be approved by the D.O.A. to receive an Agent badge
