Job Summary
Integrated Mental Health Therapist Licensed (IMHT Licensed) provides diagnostic assessments, referrals for psychiatric services, and case management within a medical clinic; works as a core member of the Clinical Care Team to deliver brief, strength-based, and solution-focused services to adults, children, and families, including suicide risk assessment, crisis stabilization, and coordination with psychiatric services. Responsibilities include participating in interdisciplinary team huddles, developing and adapting treatment plans, creating self-management goals (targeting at least 90% of patients within the first two visits), ensuring documentation and charting in the EHR, coordinating with community providers, and meeting program and grant-driven quality performance metrics. The role emphasizes motivational interviewing, continuity of care, adherence to policies, and collaboration across medical and behavioral health services. Education requirements include a Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, or social work and active licensure in Washington state; candidates must meet a Mental Health Professional standard and maintain required licenses. The position requires occasional evening/weekend work, vaccination, background checks, and Basic Life Support certification, with potential for variable patient caseload and workload within a primary care behavioral health setting.
Required Qualifications
- Must have and maintain a current Employee Health Screening
- Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in psychology, counseling, or social work (includes coursework in psychological diagnostics) and three or more years of experience in the field
- Active Washington State Mental Health Counselor License, Marriage and Family Therapist License, or Independent Clinical Social Worker License
- Must meet criteria of a Mental Health Professional (MHP)
- BLS CPR certification within 90 days of hire and ongoing maintenance
- Experience with Motivational Interviewing and knowledge of PHQ-9, GAD-7, AUDIT, DAST tools
- Language: Bilingual English/Spanish preferred; ability to read/write/speak professionally
