Job Summary
Develop treatment plans with patients in consultation with staff to address identified emotional needs and behavioral problems; gather information regarding past mental health services for treatment planning; refer patients to psychiatric services as appropriate; provide brief individual counseling in coordination with others; perform suicide risk assessment and develop treatment plans to address suicidal ideation or gestures; utilize case management to build community support and crisis stabilization as needed; meet quality and performance requirements tied to grants, contracts, and organizational priorities; work in Sea Mar’s Behavioral Health Department applying evidence-based practices in a dynamic program oriented toward health care transformation.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university in psychology, counseling, or social work which includes coursework in psychological diagnostics
- 3 or more years of experience in the field
- Active Washington State Affiliated Counselor License or a Mental Health Associate License (includes Marriage and Family Therapist, Mental Health Counselor, and Clinical Social Worker)
- Experience with mental health evaluation of children and experience with evidence-based models of treatment is a plus
- Bilingual in English/Spanish highly desirable
