Job Summary
Integrated Mental Health Therapist II at Sea Mar Community Health Centers collaborates as a core member of the Clinical Care Team within a medical setting to provide brief, strength-based and solution-focused mental health services to adults, children, and families, including emotional/behavioral stabilization, suicide risk assessment, de-escalation, crisis referrals, motivational wellness coaching, and aiding patients in self-management goal setting; responsibilities include psychoeducational topics, referrals, and ensuring thorough documentation across patient charts in coordination with the medical clinic care team. The role requires a Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, or social work, and an active WA state license (or eligibility) with preferred bilingual capacity; multiple levels (II/III/ Licensed) reflect increasing experience requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university in psychology, counseling, or social work (includes coursework in psychological diagnostics)
- Active WA State Agency Affiliated Counselor License or mental health Associate License (includes Marriage and Family Therapist, Mental Health Counselor, and Clinical Social Worker)
- 1-3 years of experience for IMHT II (or related field experience) or 3+ years for IMHT III/ Licensed position as specified in posting
- Bilingual abilities preferred: Spanish, Korean, Swahili, or Hindi
