Job Summary
Conduct behavioral health services in a primary care clinic setting by providing diagnostic assessment, onsite crisis intervention, and determining needs for ongoing care. Deliver empirically validated short-term behavioral health care via face-to-face visits and telehealth, including counseling modalities from very brief to long-term. Serve as the primary team consultant to promote understanding of health and psychological factors, while taking active leadership in universal health screening for behavioral and chemical conditions. Provide education and training to staff regarding behavioral emergency management and collaborate with PCMH or PCC team members to address psychosocial elements influencing patient wellness. Follow up with referrals to specialty care and ensure patients receive appropriate behavioral health management within an inter-professional environment.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related Behavioral Health Sciences
- License must be in good standing in state(s) of practice
- In South Dakota, must have one of the following: Licensed Professional Counselor - Mental Health (LPC-MH) Certified Social Worker - Private or Independent Practice (CSW-PIP)
- Credentialing through the Allied Health Staff of the organization where you will be working will be required
