Job Summary
Plan, implement, and oversee Virtual Design and Construction processes through appropriate technology platforms, utilizing Autodesk Revit to produce 3D models and 2D drawing sets. Serve as the point of contact for construction team members regarding VDC processes and reports across all project phases. Document work processes to improve company standards and assist in training others on VDC procedures. Maintain active participation in Mortenson's IDAT community of practice to share knowledge. Manage daily work planning and execute other duties as assigned. This role requires strong communication skills, flexibility, and integrity within an ever-changing environment.
Required Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, Civil Engineering Technology, or equivalent field
- Proficiency with Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD Architecture, Sketchup, and/or other 3D modeling software
- 4+ years related experience
- Detail orientation sufficient to organize and handle multiple project tasks at a time
- Possess basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices
- Microsoft Office, project, and pertinent web application skills at an intermediate level
- Positive and professional attitude, and strong customer service skills
- Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies effectively
- Strong communication, teamwork orientation, initiative, problem-solving, and leadership skills
- Open to change based on diverse input and feedback
- Current driver's license
- Must be currently legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship for employment visa status
Desired Qualifications
- Survey data knowledge and/or experience
- GIS data management
- Completion of intermediate level of BIM/VDC software training
