Job Summary
Integrated Care Assistant at the ASPCA Adoption Center in New York, NY. Provide daily care to animals, administer medications, engage in behavioral enrichment, and assist with medical and behavioral evaluations while documenting observations and maintaining records. Collaborate with medical, behavior, and sheltering teams, participate in daily huddles, and support in-field deployments as needed. Requires Humane animal-care skills, ability to walk and lift, and strong communication; shifts are 10 hours and on-site at the New York, NY location. Eligible for comprehensive benefits and professional development under the collective bargaining agreement.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Fear Free Shelter certification within 60 days of hire
- Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally
- Ability to walk, bend, stand and reach constantly during an 8-hour day
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to safely walk and handle dogs up to 100 lbs or more
- Experience with sheltering software systems and medical records (preferred)
