Job Summary
Assess, diagnose, and treat mental health conditions for patients within an obstetrics and gynecology clinic while collaborating closely with OB/GYN clinicians, medical staff, and psychiatric consultants. Deliver brief therapy and support using evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Problem-Solving Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing to align with patients' overall healthcare goals. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address behavioral, physical, and social needs through comprehensive behavioral health assessments and clear communication with the multidisciplinary care team. Maintain proficiency in electronic health record systems and registry platforms to track symptom improvement and document care concisely. This full-time, day-shift role offers no call, comprehensive clinical training in the Collaborative Care Model, and dedicated non-clinical support staff.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed therapist (i.e., social worker, marriage and family therapist, licensed mental health clinician, licensed professional counselor)
- License to practice in Florida
- Comfort with technology
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Commitment to patient-centered care
- Experience in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary care setting
- Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address behavioral, physical health, and social needs
- Desire to treat women across the reproductive lifespan
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-based environment
- Proficiency working within electronic health record systems
- Efficiency in documenting in a clear, concise, timely manner
- Passion for expanding access to quality care through innovative, cutting-edge treatment approaches
- Experience with and enjoyment of working on multidisciplinary care teams, including OB/GYNs, midwives, nurses, psychiatrists, and other healthcare professionals
- Ability to communicate behavioral health principles to non-behavioral health professionals
- Proficiency in utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions appropriate for the OB/GYN setting including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Problem-Solving Therapy (PST), and Motivational Interviewing (MI)
- Ability to conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments
- Ability to communicate assessment findings efficiently to other members of the care team
- Ability to develop and implement treatment plans that address the needs of the patient
- Ability to provide culturally responsive care
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in women's mental health
- Therapists bilingual in English and Spanish
