Job Summary

Provide leadership for Intake staff when the manager is offsite and liaise between staff and management. Ensure animals are properly cared for, maintain facility cleanliness, and coordinate animal movement with the Animal Care Team. Facilitate intakes by answering customer questions, managing out-of-county situations, and performing intake procedures. Support technicians with high-maintenance customers and train staff to adhere to Standard Operating Procedures. Monitor daily staffing, sanitation, and PetPoint record accuracy while writing incident reports and distributing policy updates. Work full-time with weekend and holiday availability, including rotating as a Love Train Technician monthly.

  • Be or become proficient in the use of shelter software, including PetPoint, SharePoint and ADP
  • Be able to make corrections in PetPoint as appropriate
  • Be familiar with SharePoint libraries and be able to access and consult SOPs as needed
  • Attend HSHV staff meetings
  • Read email each assigned shift and respond as appropriate
  • Must be willing to learn and work as a Love Train Technician at least once every other month, or as needed for staffing
  • Must have weekend and holiday availability
  • Non-exempt, Hourly
