Job Summary
Manage one shelter site during evening, night, and weekend shifts, serving as the initial point of contact for new clients and guiding them through the intake process. Enter client data into DHS' CARES database, participate in bed counts with Safety personnel, and report census counts to IVC. Supervise subordinate staff and coordinate daily intakes, bed assignments, and client service tasks. Collaborate with external entities for language access, handle community relations, and liaise with relevant authorities. Ensure compliance with regulations from NYS DHS, NYC FDNY, and other agencies, including incident reporting, logbook entries, and security checks. Assume direct service responsibilities if staffing is insufficient. Obtain FDNY F-80 certification within three months.
Required Qualifications
- FDNY F-80 certification
- High School Diploma or GED
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications
- Demonstrated extensive experience in residential facility settings
- Capability to obtain and uphold First Aid/CPR certification

- Associate or bachelor's degree
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
