Job Summary
Manage one shelter site during evening, night, and weekend shifts, serving as the initial point of contact for new clients and guiding them through the intake process. Enter client data into DHS' CARES database, participate in bed counts with Safety personnel, and report census counts to IVC. Supervise subordinate staff, coordinate daily intakes and bed assignments, and handle community relations while liaising with relevant authorities. Ensure compliance with NYS DHS, NYS OTDA, NYC FDNY, and NYC Dept. of Health regulations, including incident reporting, logbook entries, and security checks. Assume direct service responsibilities if staffing is insufficient. Obtain FDNY F-80 certification within three months. Required Qualifications
- FDNY F-80 certification
- High School Diploma or GED
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications
- Demonstrated extensive experience in residential facility settings
- Capability to obtain and uphold First Aid/CPR certification
